In The Family Man season 2, Srikant Tiwari and Manoj Bajpayee return to breathe new life into our favorite The Family man. The web series, which was produced by Raj and DK, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019 and received positive reviews for its clean editing, dramatic plot, and outstanding acting.
But, as we prepare for the show’s current season, we can’t help but go back to that cliffhanger of an ending, as well as important story aspects, that have left us guessing for the previous two years. On June 4, The Family Man 2 will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
Srikant Tiwari is a senior analyst in the fictitious Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC), which is part of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA). He is a married father of two children, and the first season follows him as he investigates a possible terrorist attack while also following his slightly unstable personal life. And if the trailer, which was published on Wednesday, piqued your interest, We’ve got a couple of things for you.
Is there a link between Moosa and Raji?
It won’t surprise us if the adversaries of the two seasons have a tale flowing through them, whether it’s a gut feeling or little indications from the teaser. When a fan questioned Manoj on Twitter if both seasons of The Family Man were related, the actor responded with a noncommittal “wait and see” comment. We can only speculate if one scheme leads to another here, given that Moosa and Raji are brazen, vicious, and anti-establishment.
Is Moosa no longer alive?
At the end of season 1, Srikant Tiwari defeated Moosa Rahman (Neeraj Madhav). To begin with, his identity as the dreaded terrorist and major antagonist was shocking. The question of whether he was alive or dead added to the suspense.
This is due to the fact that we never saw him “die,” only his body. In fact, the creators had left us perplexed when they issued a teaser headlined “Is Moosa Really Dead?” in January of this year. Moosa’s peeks in the teaser gave us the same thrills as JK’s.
What went wrong in Delhi?
At the end of season one of The Family Man, Delhi had transformed into a ticking bomb on the verge of exploding. Moosa’s goal is to stage a reenactment of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy in New Delhi, dubbed “Mission Zulfiqar.” The stolen chemical facility would release deadly fumes that will kill everyone in the city in two hours, according to the plot. One of the containers bursts in the last scene. Now, whether Delhi was up in flames or not is something to keep an eye on.
Is it true that Zoya and Milind are still alive?
In the last episode of the first season, Srikant’s two TASC team members, Zoya (Shreya Dhanwanthary) and Milind (Sunny Hinduja) were trapped in a crossfire with Moosa’s troops at the chemical factory. They are unable to run and approach Srikant since they are trapped there.
The poisonous gas leaks that begin to occur in the facility add to their despair. Zoya cries out in agony as Milind is shot. Their absence from the season two teaser also makes us question if they made it through the last cliffhanger.
Why is Srikant stuck at a desk?
Srikant is certain to have returned to Mumbai. He is, nevertheless, a capable TASC officer who is committed, truthful, and honest, and who would even put his personal life on hold for his profession. So, as seen in the season two teaser, why did he choose a “9-5” desk job?
And he doesn’t appear to be pleased. His marriage has also come to a halt. It’s a charade; basically, everything in his personal life is on the verge of collapsing. We’ll have to wait until the second season opener to find out what went wrong in his life and how things turned out for him.
Samantha Akkineni, who plays Raji, the first grey role in her career, makes her digital debut in The Family Man 2. Along with Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi reprises his role as JK Talpade in the film. The program will be Asif Basra’s final onscreen appearance before his death earlier this year.
